Craft beer fans will soon have one more thing to raise their glasses to this summer with the launch of the first annual Squamish Beer Festival, a one-day event dedicated entirely to sampling the latest beer and cider releases from some of the world’s best breweries. The event will take place on Saturday July 11 from 1pm-6pm at O’Siyam Pavilion in Downtown Squamish.

“This is really exciting for Squamish,” says Scott McQuade, owner of Scotties Liquor Store. “I know, from the time I spend in Scotties, that people who live here know a lot about craft beer. We expect to see a lot of visitors.”

The Squamish Beer Festival will welcome more than 30 breweries including Central City Brewers, Hoyne Brewing Co., Four Winds Brewing Co, Steamworks Brewing Co and Squamish’s own Howe Sound Brewing. The event will also feature craft beer workshops, local food and live music performances.

Early Bird rates for the 19+ event are in effect until April 30 with tickets ranging from $32 for general admission to $50 for VIP admission which includes early site access and VIP amenities.
