Shawn Mendes Deletes Instagram & Facebook App off of Phone - Here's Why!

The good news – Shawn Mendes STILL has his social media platforms.  The upsetting news – he actually deleted both the Instagram and Facebook app off of his phone!

Following the rumours of Shawn and Camila Cabello, Shawn made the decision to ‘take a break’ from social media.  During a fan Q&A, he told the fans, “I struggle with social media a lot, too.  To be honest with you guys, I deleted Instagram and Twitter three days ago, but I send my manager pictures and I’m like, ‘Can you post this?'”  Watch the video below.

Although Shawn didn’t go into detail on why he chose to delete his apps, he did say social media gets to him, “Sometimes I need to take a break from it, too because it gets to me just as much as it gets to anyone else.  You have to take care of yourself, it’s really, really important.  Make yourself come first.”

During a time where many believe Shawn and Camila’s ‘blooming romance’ is just a publicity stunt, I say this break is much needed!
